Using Ready-made Popsockets and Decorating it Your Way
Hey Everyone,
Popsockets is something that has
been in style quite recently. And to be honest, they are pretty handy. Helps you
hold your phone with a lot of ease, and you can even keep it on the desk to
watch something on your phone. Today’s blog will teach you how you can make
yourself a very crafty popsocket. With such cheap and affordable plain
popsockets in the market, you can grab yourself a few plain colored popsockets,
and paint them the way you like it. Today’s blog will give you major guidelines
on how you can paint them and how you can make them look more arty.
Step 1:
Once you have a plain colored
popsocket, you need to detach the top of the popsocket very carefully. This is
the part you will be painting, so it needs to be removed from the body of the
popsocket to help you paint it better and with more ease.
Step 2:
Paint it away. You can use acrylics
for the best results. More than the
paints, I feel it is the way you use those paints that defines how your craft
will turn out. So if you want to make something super neat, you need to use
paintbrushes. If you want something super catchy to the eye and which is more
arty then classy, you should use sponge to paint the popsocket.
If you want to make it super
glamorous, you can use glitter. Glitter makes everything beautiful doesn’t it?
I love working with glitter. I like how crafts turn out all glittery once it is
coated with glitter. I always wanted something which has glitter on it. I guess
I should make one for myself now.
People usually are afraid to work
with glitter because of the mess it creates. Well, as I mentioned in my earlier
blogs, you can use a hair spray to keep the glitter in place. It will not shed,
like usually glitter would when someone is using something glittery. Or, if you
don’t have hair spray available, you can mix glitter in white glue and then
paste it where it is you want to paste it. As white glue gives a transparent look
when it dries, this will be a good alternative to hair spray.
Step 3:
Let the paint dry completely. You
don’t want the paint to get spoilt so be very careful. You can use a hairdryer
to dry it faster.
Step 4:
Attach this piece of the
popsocket back to its body once it has dried completely. It is ready to be used
now. You can paste the popsocket on your phone now and show it to your friends and family.
Since it very easy to make. You
can make yourself a handful of these.
